TAHOE SWISS VILLAGE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

BEACH, BUOY AND PIER RULES

1) The beach area and buoy field is open only to members of the Tahoe Swiss Village Homeowners Association, their families and their guests. Sunbathing and lounging is not permitted on the main pier.

2) Buoy boats {dinghies/boat tenders} are to be left only in the area designated for this purpose. Currently that area is to the north side of the crib pier. The tenders are only for buoy lessees use. No use is permitted to children less than 16 years of age. Keep children away from the tenders. Life jackets must either be worn or in the tender when used {survival rate is 90% greater if a life jacket is worn}. The life jackets and oars are in boxes near the tenders. The combination is provided to our lessees.

We have six tenders. The first five of them can be left on the lessees buoys while their boats are being used. However, the last tender, if no others are on the beach, must be returned to the beach immediately for the next persons use. Personal tenders left on the beach will be removed.

3) No boat should be tied to the north side of the pier for more than an hour. The end of the pier and the south side are for loading and unloading only. Tie the boats to the steel pilings only. The wooden posts are not well supported and can break.

4) The maintenance and use of buoys is governed by the TSVHA. Permission to use buoys within the TSVHA buoy field is subject to approval by the Association and its Board of Directors. Buoys are assigned by buoy number after proper forms and evidence of insurance have been submitted and approved.

5) In no case, may buoys be rented or sub-leased to anyone by the buoy user. Only
TSVHA may assign or allow use of a buoy and only after proper forms and evidence of insurance have been submitted and approved.

6) Boats are limited to 28 feet or less and mooring lines must be 18 feet or less. Safe mooring lines are the responsibility of the boat owner using the buoy.

7) No dogs or pets are allowed within the beach area except when they are on a leash and are being loaded onto or unloaded from a boat. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day dogs can be exercised at the beach prior to 7 am and after 7 pm. Owners are responsible to pick up after their pets anytime.

8) No fires are allowed anywhere on the beach or piers.

9) Take all refuse with you when you leave the beach, piers and buoy field.

10) Rescue life ring with rope, life hook with pole and resuscitation instructions are on the main pier south side cat walk. Look for the RESCUE sign 110 feet out from the beach or 70 back from the end of the pier. This equipment is for your safety. Please use it only in an emergency.
