West Shore Activities

The “Magical West Shore” is filled with seasonal outdoor activities for the young and young-at-heart.  Many activities are listed on the West Shore Association website.

Make sure to include a day at Sugar Pine Point, summer or winter.  In summer, enjoy a tour of the Ermann Mansion or spend the day lazing on the front lawn overlooking the Lake.  In winter, enjoy the groomed cross country trails or snow shoe to a pristine meadow for a picnic.

Emerald Bay State Park is a must see for new visitiors.  Just 15 miles south of Tahoe Swiss Village, plan to spend a day hiking one mile down to Vikingsholm for a picnic or meandering along the shore of this jewel of the Sierra.  Try to get there early because parking is scarce.

One of the newest attractions on the West Shore is the Tahoe Maritime Museum with exciting programs, special tours, children’s activities and extraordinary examples of Tahoe’s boating history.  A must see!
